Admission » Policies

Sunflowers Academy is a private K-8 school. As such, we have policies in place to ensure a school community that is organized, cohesive and focused on student learning.
As a private school, Sunflowers Academy reserves right to admissions. All new students will require a family interview where a careful review of your child's previous school grades, behavioral history, and needs will be carefully reviewed.
As a non-profit, non-sectarian educational organization, we do not discriminate against race, religion, disabilities, or place of origin. If space permits, a child’s application may be accepted for admission considering that the following items are submitted:
  • Birth Certificate
  • School Application
  • Standardized Test Results
• Health Immunization Records
• Previous Academic Report Cards
  • Emergency contact card
State scholarship candidates and recipients must also submit picture ID for at least one parent, and McKay Scholarship students must present last year’s report card, an individualized educational plan, and a recent psychoeducational evaluation from the last three years.
