Prepare your child for a successful academic life with our school policies and fees information provided by Sunflowers Academy in Miami, Florida.

As a non-profit, non-sectarian educational organization, we do not discriminate against race, religion, or place of origin. If space permits, a child’s application may be accepted for admission considering that the following items are submitted:
 

• Birth Certificate
• School Application
• Standardized Test Results
• Health Immunization Records
• Previous Academic Report Cards

State scholarship candidates and recipients must also submit picture ID for at least one parent, and McKay Scholarship students must present last year’s report card, an individualized educational plan, and a recent psycho-educational evaluation from the last three years.


Financial Aid

We strive to assist parents applying for available scholarships to make it possible and affordable to cover tuition and fees. Among the scholarships available to residents of Florida is the prestigious Step Up Scholarship. Tuition & Fees:


Registration is part of an annual process. Required information is provided at the office and through our webpage. All required updated documentation must be submitted with the fees. The fee is non-refundable. All tuition payments should be made in person at the office in cash, personal check, or money order. All forms must be made payable to Sunflowers Academy. Payment requirements may be met by all-in-one payments, or 10 monthly payments due on the tenth day of each month, from August to May. Payments made after the tenth are subject to a $20 late fee. 
 
Family tuition discounts are provided to families with two or more children. Each additional student enrolled in the school will receive a monthly discount
of $10.

Reporting Misconduct :

Reporting Misconduct by Instructional Personnel and Administrators All employees and administrators have an obligation to report misconduct by instructional personnel and school administrators which affects the health, safety, or welfare of a student. Examples of misconduct include obscene language, drug and alcohol use, disparaging comments, prejudice or bigotry, sexual innuendo, cheating or testing violations, physical aggression, and accepting or offering favors. Reports of misconduct of employees should be made to Dr. Emma Ventura, School Principal.

 

Reports of misconduct committed by administrators should be made to Ms. Yanelsi Adan, General Director.

 

Legally sufficient allegations of misconduct by Florida certified educators will be reported to the Office of Professional Practices Services. Policies and procedures for reporting misconduct by instructional personnel or school administrators which affects the health, safety, or welfare of a student are posted in our School’s Main Office and on our Web site at  www.SunflowersAcademyPrep.com .
